Oga’s Cantina Bar & Restaurant | Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Updated: Mar 28

We attended the Annual Passholder Preview and were given these in order to enter Oga’s Cantina. Reservations are highly recommended.

The menu! We had 45 minutes to hang out in Oga’s Cantina, so we quickly chose two different drinks each. Our server conveniently checked on us halfway through our time slot to order our second round of drinks.

*Note*: Oga’s Cantina is mainly standing room. There is very limited seating. Also, this is a communal style setting, so you will be sharing space with other travelers both at the bar and the standing tables. Make friends!

Jedi Mind Trick tasted mainly like grapefruit juice and vodka. I ordered this one because it seemed to be the most popular drink in all of the reviews I read before arriving, however, I quickly realized that it wasn’t the drink for me. I’m not a big vodka drinker and the grapefruit juice was a bit overpowering, so it was just okay in my opinion.

My second drink was one I chose on my own – the Outer Rim. I really loved this one! It’s basically Batuu’s version of a margarita – but it didn’t taste like a traditional margarita to me. The margarita portion of the drink had a fresh, more earthy taste that I really enjoyed! The fruit puree and black salt rim made it really fun and interesting to drink. So if you’re looking for a “Star Wars” spin on the classic margarita – go for this one!

Russell chose Jet Juice as his second drink and it was his favorite. It’ll wake you up – I can tell you that! We are Bourbon drinkers so we kind of knew what to expect, but the chile liqueur nips you in the boo-boo! Notice that this drink is about the size of a full shot glass, so don’t expect a large glass when it’s served. It doesn’t need to be big. It’s small and strong!

Atmosphere here is everything. Automatic Star Wars doors slide open and immerse you immediately into a galactic bar scene straight from the movies. We absolutely love the playlist soundtrack they play here by DJ Rex (which you can listen to on Spotify)! The music is bumping and gets you in the spirit. Disney Imagineers traveled all over the world to work with various artists for this project so every song sounds inspired by a different part of the globe. I love this concept because literally anyone, from anywhere could be in Oga’s Cantina and resonate with a song that is playing.

RATING: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Oga’s Cantina has immediately become a must-do for me! You don’t have to be the biggest Star Wars fan to understand it or love it. A great option for adults looking for a break to cool off and unwind. It’s simply a place that truly makes you feel out of this world. I can’t wait to try the rest of the menu!
